Leeward Lamakū: Course Starter PLC (SU25)
Join our 6-week Professional Learning Community (PLC) designed to support your transition to—or improvement of—a course in the new Lamakū Learning Management System (LMS). While most courses moved from Laulima to Lamakū in Fall 2024, this PLC is ideal for instructors who are developing a new course, working on a course that still needs to transition, or looking to enhance an existing Lamakū course. You’ll explore how to: build course components from scratch using the Course Starter Template (CST) and Leeward Templates, revise migrated content, and combine these approaches to meet the unique needs of your course.
By the end of the PLC, you’ll have developed at least two Lamakū modules ready for delivery, aligned with the UH Quality Online Standards. The 6-week PLC will be offered once in the summer and in two separate cohorts (“Cosmic Crews”) in Fall 2025. Apply for a FA 2025 Crew early. Each PLC “Cosmic Crew” is limited to 30 participants, depending on application volume and Instructional Designer (ID) availability.
Summer 2025 PLC Dates: May 27, 2025 – July 6, 2025.
