Leeward Lamakū: Course Starter PLC
Overview: Join our 6-week Professional Learning Community (PLC) where you will be supported to transition a course from the Laulima learning management system (LMS) to the new Lamakū LMS. You will develop at least two Lamakū modules in preparation for the Spring 2025 implementation. This PLC will focus on course-building using the Lamakū Course Starter Template (CST), which provides a basic course site with consistent navigation, standards, and visual design. The PLC will offer a combination of asynchronous and synchronous training sessions, resources, and peer support to help you achieve the PLC outcomes.
Eligibility: To be eligible, an instructor must be teaching in Spring 2025 with priority given to those teaching online credit courses since the focus of this PLC is to create two content modules, typical of online courses. Each PLC (“Cosmic Crew”) will include a maximum of 30 participants depending on the number of applications submitted and instructional designer (ID) availability. Crew 1: Sept 2 – Oct 13. Crew 2: Oct 21 – Dec 1.
